There are those moments in life you never want to forget. There are those moments that you will never forget. Last night, was both.
This last evening, I was surrounded by the best of the best of people. Talented, good, people who love what they do and support each other in their arts. It felt like a family reunion.
Girl Boxer is an epic Irish Mobster movie with layers of talent, visual, verbal and musical notes created by the brilliant Lauren McCcann, supported by the incredible team behind her.
Listening to everyone speak last night about their experience with this film: The ease, the freedom, the love, it's apparent that our leader Lauren has created an environment for those around her to be comfortable, to be themselves, and feel incredibly included in the creative process. The crew, composed of talented professionals worked like a well oiled machine and the performers carried the emotions forward to bring you a heart pounding feet of cinema.
Without the leadership, everything falls apart. I feel who Lauren is, is what every person strives to be and be around. She is naturally like this.
This cast and crew, is gracious and kind. Feeding each others fires.
I am in awe of this group, honored to have been apart of it and am looking forward to seeing what all these incredible people do next!
What!? I get to hangout with this beauty AND watch her act? Yes please! What an incredible block of films at The Cutting Room in NYC! Ilaria shines in her film “Unvoiced” not only as an actress but also as the writer and producer, and of course it was directed by the dapper & talented Jeremiah Kipp! I was so happy to see this and support them, especially since it sounds like this may be one of its last screening!✨
I AM SO EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE THAT "TRAP DOOR" A SHORT FILM I WROTE AND ACTED IN IS AN OFFICIAL SELECTION AT THE NYC FILMS INFEST INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL!
I’ve never been what you call a “girly girl”. As a young wild one, if I was in a dress I’d want to take it off & climb trees, pretend I was a Lost Boy in Neverland, wild and free. If you’d had asked me even a few years ago, I would have said “I’m not really a dressy person. But as I’ve been growing & doing a lot of self discovery, I’ve come to realize that what I was really hiding from was:
Wearing all the black and faux- leather, no dresses or skirts, very little color even though I love it....I was hiding from myself. My power. My reflection.
Embracing the feminine part of me has been an experience, not because I feel obligated to but because I didn’t want to hold myself back from the experience of wearing whatever I felt like wearing. That’s why I wanted to do this “Romantic” shoot with Lea. I wanted to step into that power of femininity & do away with the shadows. I’ll always love being a rocker chick, but some days, I’ll also be a Queen, no matter what I wear.
I am so freaking stoked to have been asked to write two additional songs for this incredible film that hasn't even been released yet & is already won countless awards for its trailer, script and dailies! Lauren McCann, the writer, director and creator of the Pilot is making waves and I am honored to be standing in support of such an amazing woman, cast and crew! Watchout world! This is gonna hit our screens with its roaring presence and kick ass storyline!
