I've been taking a lot of pictures with my Comedy Partner Brittanie Sheree and our new filming friends Michael Ovalle and Sean Gazay-O'Connor. This last one holds a special place in my heart because its a Halloween Monster Shoot!
Its funny how life is right? We try things and see how it will play out. The same goes for Special effects make-up.
I originally wanted to be Bride of Frankenstein. I love the idea of celebrating Mary Shelley. The mother of Sci-Fi and horror, in my opinion, through our shoot.
I am not huge on horror movie fan but I love the make up and I especially love stories like Frankenstein. It asks the question "Who is the monster?" Is the creature you deem different from the rest of society because they look different, act different, and/or just are different. We either praise these people, call them freaks, isolate them or put them on some sort of odd pedestal.
But when we act this way towards "The Monster" are we not acting the part of the monster?
I love this shoot because I feel my "Bride of Frankenstein" comes into someones home, looking for a place to belong. She is looking inward.
I'm a woman of all trades. Love what I do and I do what I love.
