HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!
It is so exciting! That new year feel. I hope you all enjoyed 2013 like I did and have already had a great start to this new one. I'm a bit of a dork and always look at the horoscope for the new year and my Capricorn forecast for this year looks pretty good. As always there are those things you want to watch out for: over working yourself, getting out of balance but overall, I am going to have a year full of projects and adventures. But really…When do I not have a million billion things to do?
For myself, Teamwork is going to be crucial! Which makes sense with the upcoming projects "Zomburlesque", "Killer",and "Universal Desire", not to mention the other projects that will pop up.
Zomburlesque is going to be a big feat to concur. There is a great deal of make-up for Special Effects creatures that will be very important to create and maintain. Making them all look extremely realistic. We are going for Star Trek/Dr Who kinds!
"The following 12 months can be extremely rewarding in matters of intimacy, investment and business partnerships. Courage, confidence and creativities are essential ingredients for success."
Well, I say bring it on 2014!
I will be heading back to San Francisco next week after my birthday on January 7th and already I have a photo shoot with long time friend and make-up artist Jonathan Reisfeld, and a meeting with Allison Craig, friend/musician/costumer who contacted me today about becoming our head costume builder and designer for Zomburlesque! along with Seattle based assistant Nikki Davis.
Sean and I are collecting equipment like audio and rigs like seen in the pictures above and I am going to be finishing the screenplay adaptation of Zomburlesque by February 1st. There are going to be 9-10 episodes. Quite a bit more than our 4 for Flower Shop of Whore-ers, our first web series I directed, wrote and acted in (among other things) which will be airing its 2nd episode on January 15th, 2014.
So far I have the pilot and 4 other episodes… so about half way done!
Anywho! I have chatted your ear off enough. For those of you artistic types: Welcome to a new year! I have had the great pleasure of working with some amazing talent and I cannot wait to work with them again as well as new people. I hope you are just as excited as I am to see what will come out of this year with all the wonderful projects and new adventures to be had. For those non artistic types who are engaged: I hope you enjoy all the wonderful things that will come into your life and I look forward to trying to entertain you over the next year!
I'm a woman of all trades. Love what I do and I do what I love.
