I have some of the best people in my life! Good firmed and former "RENT" cast mate, Sal Real, invited me last minute to be apart of his show at THE WEST END on December 7th at 5:30pm. Not only will this be my debut for singing in New York but I am going to be singing my favorite christmas song of all times.
There will be a group of amazingly talented singers at this show and I hope if you are in the New York Area you come out and get to experience them.
Not only is the show really well priced at $10, the proceeds go to a good cause. CAMP DREAMCATCHER will be receiving your help. They provide support to Children who's lives have been effected by HIV/AIDS.
So grab 2 drinks, (cause that is the minimum) and join us all in supporting the great cause, with talent and good will towards all at "Seasons of Love" A "Cabernet" Show on December 7th. Doors open at 5pm show at 5:30pm
955 West End Ave At Broadway/107th Street
See ya there!
Did a Video for the show I am in on December 7th, 2014! Check it out!
Doing more stuff with HBO! Lots of things are filming. As they say in the NDA, can't talk about anything specifically but what I can say is I had a great time on set, filming with a bunch of really talented Extra's, who are MORE than just what that title would portray. I met Jojo Seven, a beautiful, talented actress and amazing singer! Ava Sofia, a young actress in college, pursuing what she loves to do, Yolanda who is "Tasty's" stand in for Orange is the New Black, Barbara, who is friend with Mary from the previous set and Caitlin Belforti, who I met at the end of the day but was equally as fun to chat with! I can't wait to see what else comes out of New York but if I get to hang out with people like this… I will be a happy camper!
Dear TIna: I'm Wearing a Wig
I saw this show on Thursday Night at The Kraine Theater on 85th 4th Street in New York City.
"It's a two woman sketch comedy show with parodies, original songs, sketches (of course) and lots and lots of wigs."
And boy was it fun!
Starring Christine Schisano and Abby Pechman, the hour long show flew bye with the highly entertaining skits that ranged from a parody on what it must have been like for Raggedy Annes sister living in her perfect shadow, to two mice meeting there doom and improv with questions from the audience.
The use of various wigs gave the show a variety and added to the girls transformations into various characters. I also highly appreciated the use of media, to show other skits.
Both women created a high energy show filled with smart and slightly dirty jokes, while maintaining good story lines and engaging humor.
While the last skit, I felt was probably not the best to end on, the real tragedy of the night was that Tina Fey didn't show up to hear a hilarious parody to "Dear Prudence" aka "Dear Tina", sung beautifully and written with witty commentary.
I give the show a 5 out of 5 stars and encourage any one to see these two very talented ladies again!
